Asemic visual poetry by Judith Dagan (Carmel Coast, Israel)
This is Judith Dagan's first appearance in the Asemic Front project. I extend a warm welcome & thank her for these tremendous vispo-asemic works. While artists & writers from all around the globe contribute to the project, this is the first time I have been fortunate to post asemic writing from Israel. So this blog is doubly exciting & another first for AF2.
Judith Dagan is a recent addition to the Eternal Network (international mail art). She is a member of the asemic writing group at the IUOMA-Ning, which has produced so many excellent visual poets & contributions to AF2.
In Judith Dagan's work I note a natural tendency toward image-text compositions with roots in Lettrism (although I am not sure if she is familiar with that 20th century movement). Thus it is not surprising that her asemic & vispo pieces are evolving rapidly with tremendous results. I look forward to sharing more work by Judith Dagan at AF2.
